Montage Image Metadata Service

The CGI program:

/cgi-bin/ArchiveList/nph-archivelist

on this server returns a script or URL list for downloading image data
from various missions for the area of interest.

CGI parameters:

• survey:
  Image survey / wavelength band. 2MASS and WISE cover the whole sky.
  SDSS is focused on the north Galactic polar cap.
  DSS covers various regions (see here),
  and IRAC, MIPS are pointed observations of specific targets.

  The complete set includes:

  • 2MASS: J, H, K
  • SDSS: u, g, r, i, z
  • WISE: 3.4, 4.6, 12 and 22 micron
  • DSS: POSS2 (Blue, Red, IR), POSS1 (Blue, Red), Quick-V, GSC1, GSC2
  • IRAC: 3.6, 4.5, 5.8 and 8 micron
  • MIPS: 24, 70 and 160 micron

   

• location:
  Object name or coordinate string (fairly free-form).
• size:
  Field size (default: 5 degrees).
• units:
  Units of the field size - deg (default), arcmin, or arcsec.
• mode:
  Output can be either wget commands, curl commands (default on Mac),
  JSON URL strings (for languages like Python), or and ASCII tbl file.
