Description:

This service uses a publication Data Tag to return data from a specific IRSA query. Data Tags are strings used in journals to indicate the origin of the archival data and to enable the reader to recover the data. Entering an IRSA Data Tag in the search form above will rerun the IRSA service using the same search parameters used when the Data Tag was created. See additional info for more on publishing data tags.

Caveats:

  • As of July 2008, most, but not all of IRSA's data retrieval services return Data Tags. Data Tags are not returned for queries using Table Upload (multiple sources/positions).
  • A Data Tag may generate a different result than the original query if the data set has changed since the Data Tag was created. This may happen because a data set has been augmented with new data, or in rare cases because a data set itself has been updated to reflect a new calibration or to correct a defect.
  • Note that using a Data Tag to query IRSA will create a NEW Data Tag on the search results page.
